Great coffee, subdued music and a well-lit, modest space for business conversation are hallmarks of Blue Bottle Coffee’s new downtown outpost at Four World Trade Center. From pour-overs to cappuccinos, satisfy your coffee addiction with a brew that is smooth, tasty and not bitter. Toss in well selected food choices, and the WTC locale is the ideal spot for an 11 a.m. or 2 p.m. quiet discussion that energizes your mind, builds teamwork and expands business relationships.
The thirty foot ceilings with panoramic windows are outlined by a series of well spaced stools and tables conducive to discussion. While there is no formal Wi-Fi service in the café, the building’s free wireless capability makes internet access straightforward. Another plus is the existence of a bathroom so if you linger for a second cup, there’s no fear of, ahem, uncomfortable situations.
But it’s not just about the coffee; Blue Bottle’s friendly and effective staff makes a difference too.
As I inquired about the non-dairy latte possibilities, barista Imana noted my initial disappointment in the lack of coconut milk. She responded with enthusiasm for me to try the uncommon almond milk and gave me a taste to demonstrate the creamy quality that we all look for in a lactose substitute. I’m pleased to say that her outgoing encouragement and belief in her product was as compelling as the milk itself. The result was a flawless beverage made with aplomb.
While I would wish for more electric outlets, the combination of customer service, attention to product quality and a professional yet subdued buzz combine to make Blue Bottle Coffee’s downtown outpost excellent for your business discussion.
