Seems like equities business is a way behind fx where similar systems have been in place for more than a decade.

Is this really AI or just some execution algorithms? Everybody seems to jump on the AI bandwagon these days without any real substance.

What is "Deep Reinforcement"? Is this Pavlovian conditioning? Some algorithm is going to replicate the market? Not holding my breath. Maybe "chaos" theory might come close? Thanks, David

This is a trade execution algo with some machine learning glued in right? What makes it so special. Unless the article is missing some core piece of info this is pretty standard stuff in automation heavy hedge funds, HFT firms and even within broker/market-makers.

What's the deal with journalists bloggers, and even technologists and traders calling software robots? A "bot" maybe. A robot builds your Tesla or greets you in a creepy way at the entrance to a Japanese mall. Software algorithms are not robots!

Well responding to Piotr. It is sort of news, traditional alogs do not modify itself. This one does. It is big bank not small shop. If you want to run algo there you had pass all compliance etc... Getting this done is more complicated then algo itself. I wonder if they run this algo on market or only in simulation.

I wonder how this works from a MiFiDii perspective - where you have to prove beat execution rather than shown best effort at best execution

I believe that unfortunately this is the future!!

Research and consequent trial on the field shall Provok damages and damages on the stability of the market before to reach a real and compatible and correct equilibrium

That's the price of that I call the hyper technology!!
