The spreads becames narrower its true thanks to the HFTs but they didnt say in the articke that adverse selection events litterally explosed over the past few years. So narrow spread is a false "good" impact of HFT. They make you believe you can trade easier to better f... you up after. Its sad

The spread is narrower until you want to trade ...... Arbitrage volume has destroyed many liquidity and HFT have just been found out RIP
