US growth for the whole of 2016 was just 1.6%, 1% less than in 2015, yet equity markets continually edge to new highs, and commodity prices continue to rise, ignoring the build up of inventories. It will remain important for markets to watch French 10 year yields, which have reached 1.10%, an objective I have considered since last year. Being long German 2 years has been the right decision and as I forecast last week, German yields have fallen to 0.18% - 0.20%.
