this kind of attidute (the blame game) is mostly found within the "discretionary trading family". To them, each trade is putting their ego on the line. "Me against the world", "Master of the universe" (if a trade goes right). And, let's admit it, the feeling when you are right is so rewarding ...

But the other side of the coin is that when (not if) you lose, your ego takes a severe hit, so either you are forced to admit you are no Master of the universe, or you start looking for scapegoats. Systematic traders simply know that X % of their trades will go bad and have learned to accept that reality as part of trading
