Jon Kinlay has many great articles that I have learned from. This article has too much review of basics. Still interesting. Mentioning Taleb in any context is misguided. I worked with Nassim and he defines a fool

Mohsen, yes the article is rather basic. I wrote is primarily for the audience at SeekingAlpha (where it has also been published). My sense is that the "tail" in the readership is extremely long, ranging from professional investment managers to amateur investors who are perhaps unlikely to be familiar with these basis concepts.The reference to Nassim Taleb is likewise provided for the benefit of those who, unlike yourself, may be unfamiliar with his writing.
