Time series models, univariate as well as vector form, are popular in the science of forecasting and there is plenty of detailed literature available to help any committed person like myself become an expert in the science. I am relatively new to financial modelling and simulation. Aerospace, my mainstay of the past twenty years is not necessarily excluded because airlines and manufacturers both need to forecast demand for example. However at the present time, I am particularly interested in financial data. If your work involves forecasting of any kind it would be good to hear from you on how your models perform, against, as time moves on, real data.
