i always fade the trend with a backup plan when i am occasionally wrong, i don't fight the "mo" (momentum). this is not my opinion but rather what testing has shown me to be profitable. i always initially counter trends.

Depends

On liquidity of asset and goal trading

Ounz from 10.70 to 10.82 not the same as GLD (the gold nonsense eft where it's backed by ?) both are based on price of gold but only one owns all the gold it has trading-

The vix is a with trend if you can get in and out as the Vxx -Tvix -Uvxy both lag index up and down (seconds)giving you ability to trade a second ahead of actual short term vix price

Hear me loud and clear unless you have fastest trading system out today it's useless to trade any Vxx Tvix as they've got to be traded never held as they lose value always hence for the traders with the fastest networks only
