Northern Trust Hedge Fund Services is a rapidly expanding Global fund administrator, specializing in administering assets of complex hedge funds. The position requires experience in financial markets and back office functions.
Overview:
Under general supervision, responsible for the completion of subscription forms, capital activity reporting, issuance of trade confirmations, statements and reports to investors. The Investor Services function in Hedge Fund Services is responsible for investor reporting, subscription processing, redemption processing, transfer processing, bank account management and anti-money laundering and know your client.
Major Duties:
1. Ensures proper completion of subscription forms, with reference to requisite qualification requirements and monitoring the number of US and benefit plan investors.
2. Reports capital activity to the fund manager in a prompt and efficient manner.
3. Issues trade confirmation, statements and reports to investors and dealing with investor queries.
4. Completes all appropriate AML, KYC and client verification checks.
5. Issues and maintains a record of share registers, if applicable.
6. Instructs redemption payments and maintains client subscription bank accounts.
7. Identifies and manages investor problems/issues and participate in their resolution.
8. Assists in the underlying investor audits.
9. Carries out complex activities with significant financial, client, and/or internal business impact.
10. Able to serve as a key subject matter expert and mentor to other more junior level employees.
11. More technically sound in area of expertise and has broader knowledge of other areas.

Qualifications:
A College or University degree and/or relevant proven work experience is preferred. Related Industry qualification (e.g. ACCA) is preferred
