Filtering ’layering’ as an Edge

Would realtime order flow filtering of "Layering" and other types of "Spoofing" give a trading robot an Edge? When there are spoofed/layered bids and asks in the order flow trading algorithms can be 'tricked' into executing bad trades. Filtering out the spoofing and providing trading algorithms with a clean signal should make them perform better and make fewer bad trades. Does this make sense? Are there any tools out there that perform this service?
