You are invited to join us for an important workshop that explains “What is Robustness of a Trading Strategy”. Presenter: Dr. Alex Krishtop, Director of Education, ATA About Dr. Alex Krishtop: http://www.atassn.com/classes Open To: Traders, Trading Systems Developers and Fund Managers. Date: Wednesday, June 24 at 5PM EDT Register: http://bit.ly/1I2vPzn Date: Wednesday, July 01 at 7AM EDT Register: http://bit.ly/1LnTLMB DECK In our previous webinars we already considered various important tools and methods used in systematic trading and development of trading strategies. We noted that systematic trading in general is based on quantitative analysis rather than qualitative assessment, and therefore it’s always important to know how to express our performance requirements in the form of numbers, not emotions. Visual analysis of equity curves is commonly used to assess the performance of a trading strategy - this is understandable and fair as it allows us to quickly reject strategies that lose money in the long term. However, when it comes to comparing two strategies with positive performance, simple visual analysis can be quite misleading. In this webinar you we will discuss the robustness of trading strategies. We will consider various metrics that help assess the robustness quantitatively, and be as objective as possible with the assessment. We will also learn that sometimes a strategy may be robust even when its equity curve looks unpleasant, and vice versa. You will understand robustness as a measure of trading strategies upside potential and possible stability in the future. This workshop will include an extended Q&A segment where all questions are answered. Have a great day trading!
