That is. Considering mirroring solution (Tradency, Metatreder, etc), strategy market places (Collective 2, Tradestation App, etc) and similar things: Is there any study/reasonable aproximation to the real market size all this aproaches have at the moment? For example: Collective 2 claims to have a handfull of thousand strategies and up to 80.000 registered users. But... how many of those are really being traded now? Same apllies to the rest. Do you know of any study/research made on this to evaluate the actuale size of the market? Any info/help will be appreciated. Thx"

My first rough numbrer from some particular cases I know of in Spain are that around 1% of traders have at least once in a lifetime an Automated Trading account. Just to share with the group, I'm starting to figure out some gross numbers for Spain. My best guess at this point is that in Spain there are aproximately 220.000 trading accounts and hence aprox 2200 fully automated trading account potential market.

But, again, this are rough estimations unfortunately.

Providing that 99% of retail traders are done with their account after 2 years or so. The market size is probably less than insignificant.

Actually I don't think so. Your's seems a pretty simple but incomplete approach. Reatil trading is a HUGE market. As a proof, you have zillions of brokers servicing them worlwide.
