Dimitri, Not sure what your plan is.. If you have a system already or if your trying to build one...? If you have one and want it autotraded without ever having to share or expose your code you can use Collective2.com or their private label platform... Just a thought...

Hi Dmitri,

It's tricky for us to speak directly to this question because part of our core promise is to protect the privacy and intellectual property of our members. That said, I'm happy to share some general information on our live trading beta program to date. In aggregate, we're seeing $100 million traded per month on $5 million in algorithmically directed assets (ADA). Looking at our individual quants, it's not surprising that we see a large spread of performance. In this graph: https://media.quantopian.com/returns-vs-volatility-slide.png, each dot represents a strategy that traded more than 10 days; you can see a lot of success, and some failures.

We're working on formalizing these results and looking more closely at things like risk adjusted returns as well, and we'll be presenting some of this work publicly next month at the Boston Data Festival (see Thomas Wiecki's talk on Evaluating Trading Algorithms using Probablistic Programming - http://www.bostondatafest.com/).

We are also working on a profile series of interviews with folks who've participated in our live trading beta, hoping to get the first of those up on Quantopian's blog (http://blog.quantopian.com/) in the near future. As you can imagine, some people are more enthusiastic than others about talking publicly about their trading tools and results.

Chris,

I think you must have us confused with someone else. Goldman isn't one of our investors. You can see more about our investors on our about page, https://www.quantopian.com/about

Jess, thank you for that info... Not sure how I crossed those wires with Quantopian and GS. I retract my comment and apologize..

I have fiddle around with quantopian and it's an interesting concept... I think for a novice quant investor it provides a good community and decent IDE. My experience stops at development and have not idea about execution....

Jess and Chris, thanks for the info’s. I work for a small commodity broker in Germany http://www.kaack-terminhandel.de/de/. I see all the mistakes of our customers and all this mistakes in my opinion could eliminate with a full automated Algorithmic Trading Strategies (it is nothing new for you). In a German magazine I read an interesting article about quantconnect. But there have for testing only stock data of US-Markets (could be that I misunderstand it).

We are a commodity broker and trade with futures and option on future. I like the idea of automated strategies that was in a cloud. Import for us as an Introducing Broker of Vision Financial Markets LLC / ADMIS, SAXO BANK, NORDLB and Interactive Brokers that the systems provides the ability to execute on their own brokerage accounts. My Idea is to provide our customers finished package for disposal. So a lot of costumers need a consultant and we want to support them in Germany.
