I like talking to traders across the world and hearing their thoughts on the market trends affecting their country. How do you use social media? Let me know in the comments below!

Should probably make explicit what is implicit in my last remark, that trading is the family business so I have my family--especially the kids who are traders--to bounce ideas off of.

IMO social media is better suited to folks with fewer options.

Daniel, I have to agree with you. There are a couple of excellent FX blogs on my RSS feed. Let me know when you get your blog up and running, maybe I can add it to my list!

Brian, I see where you're coming from. Unfortunately most people aren't as fortunate as us to have multiple traders in the family, so social media trading communities are their next best option. Even though I have my kids to talk to, I like getting other's options from across the globe. It keeps me grounded and reminds me that no matter where we're from, we all have similar trading goals.

I would think you could use Social Media as a platform to acquaint yourself with individuals in the industry, share ideas and learn from experiences so I believe it plays an indirect but yet impactful role

i think one could easily make a fortune with social media. i could actually setup an experiment and prove it. what i would do is create a successful trading recommendation web site, let it grow in popularity. then i would front run the signals and make a fortune. m
