Hello to everyone! I'm new to the group so let me introduce myself! I'm recently graduated from Regents Business School London with focus on Global Financial Management and currently looking for internships/graduates placements/etc. In brief, I don't have an 'official' experience in financial sector; however, I was working on my own driven by self-education in FX mostly - which is not enough for most employers. So there is a question: how do you become an experienced professional if noone is willing to hire you at earlier stages?

Hi Vladlena,

I have never been turned down for an internship at a fund if they knew I was willing to work for free but this strategy wont work with larger institutions that have a bureaucratic HR System.

Its best to always establish a face to face relationship with the fund and then take it from there. Make it clear that you are hungry to learn and have proof to back it up.

If your looking for a sure thing then join a prop trading firm. In SA "African Gateway" is a popular one.. If you have trading capital they will seldom turn you down.

I remember this moment very well. At the time, I owned and operated my own Christmas shop, but profits were less than ideal. My family was struggling and I felt terrible because I couldn't provide for them the way I wanted. That's when I found Forex. Within a few months I began seeing profits and I was hooked. I hit some major speed bumps along the way, (I'll never forget the time I lost $400,000 in five hours), but in the end I learned from my mistakes boosted my winning percentage. I am proud of the trader I have become and the ability I created for myself to provide for my family the way I always wanted to.
